La Tocante

Excellent reception, discreet yet attentive staff. We were served by a young man (who was probably just starting out) and a young woman whom we appreciated.

Nice place. A few comments, however: - A bit too much cream on the tarte flambée - Toppings unevenly distributed - Service was adequate, but we had to ask twice for a carafe of water - The waitress cleared our table very quickly without hearing our order for the next tarte flambée

Yesterday we had lunch at La Tocante. The waiter made a mistake with the dish I ordered. He brought me the dish I had ordered, after a bit of a wait, which is understandable. For the wait, they offered me dessert! Bravo! There are places where they don't even offer you coffee... Thank you for the gesture!

We discovered this restaurant thanks to a recommendation from the receptionist at our small hotel. It was a very pleasant surprise; it was like a little gem in the middle of a rather commercial area. The welcome was very warm, and the lady explained everything about the dishes and the wines to us. The decor and atmosphere were really lovely, we had a great meal and a wonderful evening.

Excellent restaurant, the service is quick and friendly. The waiter greeted us with a smile. I highly recommend it.

A very nice experience. The storm caught us by surprise on the terrace and the staff were very responsive and set up tables for us inside.

A Sunday lunch / not always easy to find an open restaurant / Varied menu and generous portions

So disappointing, it wasn't like this before... Zero flavor, how can anyone call it good? 😓 Indeed, the duck breast, 6 charred pieces for 26 euros with Norma honey!! One Picon with flat beer. Then the tasteless veal cordon bleu, with its cheese that must be some kind of "cheese-based preparation," and a tasteless Munster tart (*Munster from Wish) with two teaspoons of extremely dry cream, places where there's nothing but pastry... And the soggy fries, a real rip-off!! There are so many good Alsatian restaurants, I don't know how they can have regulars 😅 In any case, it's not the fault of the waitresses, who are very nice and who suffer from the mediocrity of the food

Sunday at 1:30 pm, the meal was good, but the service was very, very slow—almost 30 minutes for the main course and the same for dessert. However, the welcome was still friendly, thank you for that. I can therefore recommend this restaurant for a good meal and a long break 😀🦤
