Pizzeria Geppetto

One of my very best experience pizzeria wise in the whole of Strasbourg city.. crispy tasty dough, the perfect amount of cheese, deliciously hot pepper oil, organic red wine that'll make you wonder why you could have thrived without knowing of such a nectar. And don't get me started on the tiramisu. It's nigh divine, pay'em a visit.

An excellent Italian restaurant, with food made with love. I highly recommend the chef's pasta, which is delicious. Thank you and see you soon ❤️

It's always been a pleasure to go to Gepetto since 2011. The cuisine is simple yet effective. The dishes are delicious, and the homemade desserts are to die for. Santo is the heart and soul of this place and extends a warm and friendly welcome to everyone. It's not just a restaurant; it's a cozy little haven with a family atmosphere, where you leave with a full stomach, a light heart, and the sound of an Italian accent in your ears.

The food was unfortunately far too oily, but the owner apologized. So far, so good. However, at the end of our visit, an absolutely inappropriate incident occurred: My best friend spoke to the owner in Italian, as she speaks the language. While they were speaking, he told her to turn around, and just when her bottom was clearly visible to him, he told her to stay put. When she asked him what he thought he was doing, he simply said, "It was just a joke." She felt extremely uncomfortable and humiliated, and she cried as we left the restaurant. What makes it especially awful is that she's only 17 years old. The owner apparently thought she was over 20. For me, this is completely unacceptable. Such intrusive behavior, especially towards a minor, is simply wrong. We will definitely never be coming back.

We ordered three different spaghetti dishes and loved them. The pasta tasted fresh. The portions were perfect—satisfying without being heavy.

Small Pizza but tasty and the service is top

Unfortunately, I can confirm a common complaint: the slowness. Two hours for a pizza, a dessert, and the bill is very long. And on top of that, with the restaurant half empty. The service was cold and distant.

The pizza was good but too small, to the point that I was still hungry after eating it. But the major drawback was the waiter's attitude, a man in his mid-40s to early 50s, when it came time to pay. Since we hadn't each eaten the same amount, and we were taking a few seconds to pay roughly the same amount—and I do mean a few seconds—he felt entitled to criticize us, saying in a contemptuous and irritated tone, "Come on, damn it, let's split it, quick!!" What business is it of his? The kind of remark that, one day, if you're unlucky, the customer gets up and pins you against the wall…

I've been going to this place ever since I moved to Strasbourg. It's not just a simple restaurant; it's a place where we're warmly welcomed and feel right at home. Santo makes sure everything is perfect for his customers!
