Aedaen Speakeasy

What a mistake we made picking this place for a drink… please SAVE YOURSELVES and go anywhere else! We ordered 2 cocktails off their signature menu (“Frida Kahlo” and “Simone Veil”) and we were truly shocked by the poor quality… For 19€ a glass, the Frida Kahlo cocktail tasted somewhat worse than the cucumber water we were served upon sitting down. As for the Simone Veil cocktail that my friend ordered, it was pure sesame oil in a glass. Undrinkable. The waiters were rude - one of them even took a tone with my friend who asked a question about her cocktail. A different waiter asked us about our drinks and when we hesitated and said they were just OK (purely out of politeness as the drinks were BAD), they slowly walked away instead of asking us what was wrong etc. The only positive element to this speakeasy is the space as the entrance door is hidden behind a mirror at the back room of a pizza place but this is pretty standard for any speakeasy. I must say our experience is not an isolated incident as another group of customers also left theirs drinks untouched upon leaving (!) and we even overheard them saying they were disgusting. We should have listened. Bad, bad, never going back.

I can't find anything to criticize about this place, which was truly designed as an intimate, discreet, and secluded meeting spot. Admittedly, the cocktails are pricey, but I understand that given the establishment's high standard. The menu is inventive and changes frequently. I highly recommend it.

I discovered the Aeden speakeasy in Strasbourg, and the experience truly impressed me. The place is discreet, almost secret, and as soon as you step inside, you're immersed in a wonderfully captivating atmosphere. The cocktails are incredibly delicious, expertly crafted, and original. You can feel the genuine skill behind the bar, and each drink is a little discovery. The service is top-notch, attentive, and passionate, which further enhances the ambiance. The prices are rather high, but more than justified by the quality. For me, it's the perfect place for an evening with friends or a romantic moment in an elegant and intimate setting.

A wonderful place recommended to us during the sponsor dinner for the Strasbourg and Jagiellonia football teams (a great initiative ahead of the Conference League match). To get in, we had to walk through... an already closed pizzeria and find a door hidden in the wall! The staff was amazing; we only planned to drop by for a moment, but because of the atmosphere, delicious drinks, and wonderful people, we stayed for hours! It’s like stepping into a different world — highly recommended!
