FLUNCH STRASBOURG ILLKIRCH

Visited today. We're a family of Flunch regulars. We know the chain has struggled in recent years, and unfortunately, we no longer have one near us in Normandy. So, when the opportunity arises, and because we'd like this chain to continue, we take advantage of it whenever possible. The service for the hot dishes was very good. The dishes were true to what Flunch usually offers, and that suited us perfectly. Our disappointment came when we ordered our desserts. It was 8:49 pm. We were told that desserts were no longer being served, and the till was closed (even though we were supposed to arrive until 9 pm, as indicated online and in front of the restaurant). My mother came back to point out that this wasn't quite right. She was told that she actually had 5 minutes to place her order. Then, at the till, we were told that only ice cream could be ordered because the coffee machine was off. So, no coffee specialties. So we ordered and realized they were preparing the specialty ice cream in front of us for another customer. And to top it off, they offered us a cup or cone, even though a customer after us had already had a sundae. It's a shame because, honestly, I think I can say we're friendly and often understanding customers. Nevertheless, I hope you'll take these comments into consideration so that your restaurant and the jobs it supports can continue to thrive.

It's become very expensive for a neutral, not to say cold, service. This is certainly also due to the clientele who frequent it... (tables not cleared).

Excellent mussels, all you can eat

Overall, the dishes are generally served hot and as expected. The welcome and service: The staff remains polite, but the welcome is sorely lacking in warmth. The cashiers could take the time to offer more advice, especially when we're unsure what to order. It's a bit too cold and distant: a warmer welcome would make customers much more eager to return and would build loyalty! The ice cream and crepe area: In contrast to the rest of the restaurant, this area is much warmer and more pleasant! The children's area: The play area is quite well-suited, even if it's primarily aimed at younger children. The terrace: This is a major asset of the restaurant! It's a shame it isn't showcased more. A decent place for a hot meal, with a great dessert selection and a lovely terrace, but the customer service at the register could be more personal.

Hello, last night we had mussels and fries! They were very good! However, half of the mussels in the first plate were closed, and even knowing you're not supposed to eat them, it was almost impossible to open them. Also, the Roquefort sauce had no flavor compared to last season; you couldn't taste the cheese at all. The server wasn't smiling at all, and was even a bit unpleasant!

I wanted to commend the professionalism, the quality of the work, and the good humor of the cook, Francisco.

Beautiful place. Lots of amenities and food options. Lots of water slides too, for both children and adults.

A friendly place to share a meal or a coffee, at very affordable prices.

Not enough choice, very basic, and the dishes are often empty and not refilled quickly enough.

The toilets are disgusting!!! I can't even imagine what the kitchen is like! The staff isn't very friendly, and the man I think is in charge is absolutely unkind!!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

Arriving this evening, Saturday, July 11th, a gentleman with glasses served us the mussels; he was very friendly and welcoming! A pleasure. However, the bread was stale, and since they didn't have any decent bread, we got a refund. And the toilets are in a terrible state, disgusting! The state of the toilets gives you an idea of ​​what the kitchens are like. And the ham was dry and not good. Just like Flunch, really.

A very warm welcome, excellent food, a wide variety of side dishes, and friendly and efficient staff. We come here with great pleasure. A very good team, and spotlessly clean.

Eats at a Flunch restaurant, a place we've been using for a long time. We ordered the all-you-can-eat grilled meat, but the merguez sausages were undercooked, the kebabs were cold, and the chicken cutlets were cold. The fries were a trickle. My wife ordered a hamburger steak, requesting it rare, but given its thickness, it was difficult to get it rare; the size was the same as the one in the children's menu. The restrooms are in a deplorable state. This isn't the Flunch we knew in the beginning. Everything is going downhill.
